If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll be thrilled to know that your favorite morning brew can do more than just perk you up. Coffee can be a fantastic ingredient in your skincare routine, particularly in the form of a homemade coffee scrub. The high caffeine content in coffee has several skin benefits, including reducing inflammation and redness, improving blood circulation, and diminishing the appearance of cellulite.

Creating your own coffee scrub at home is a budget-friendly and natural way to care for your skin. You can control all the ingredients, ensuring that they are suitable for your skin type and preferences. This homemade coffee scrub is not only simple and quick to make, but it also fills your bathroom with the enticing aroma of fresh coffee, transforming your skincare routine into a luxurious and relaxing ritual.

How to make a homemade coffee scrub recipe

I absolutely love the taste and the scent of coffee. When I added creamer to my coffee, I often added an Irish Cream flavored creamer. Now, I drink my coffee black but I still love the way Irish Cream smells. I decided in honor of St. Patrick’s Day that I would experiment with an easy Irish Coffee scrub DIY recipe for you all to try.

Making a coffee scrub DIY recipe isn’t an exact science. You can play around with it a bit to suit your preferences. The key scents from Irish coffee creamer that I notice are chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Some people add a bit of peppermint but I find that overwhelms the vanilla so I leave that out.

It’s totally up to you. I make enough for a small jar because I like to try a variety of different scrubs instead of using the same one for a long time. If you want, you can easily make a large jar instead. You may also like this non alcoholic Irish cream recipe for coffee.

  3. Love the idea of self-pampering at home. I have one large bag with some grounded coffee I bought in the Medina,it has spices in it, so I will change your Irish coffee for a Café aux épices scrub :)
