Happy Halloween from Sheba Cat Food #ShebaCat

For Halloween, I’m sharing these Happy Halloween wishes from our cats as part of a sponsored campaign with Collective Bias and Sheba cat food.  Years ago, when my kids were little, I used to have so much fun shopping for their Halloween costumes each year.  I “oohed” and “aahed” over the little princess and cowboy costumes.  I stocked up on orange plastic pumpkins and Halloween candy.   I snapped photo after photo of the kids in their costumes before we went out trick or treating.

Happy Halloween from Sheba Cat Food

Now that my kids are 16 and 20, I don’t get to dress them up for Halloween any longer.  I still find myself wandering through the costume aisle at the store remembering when they were that young.  When Collective Bias asked me to participate in a campaign for Sheba and dress my cats up for Halloween, I was thrilled!  Finally! I’d have a chance to relive the days when my kids were little.

We have three cats that are part of our family.  Colors is the matriarch of the family at ten years old.  She is a beautiful tortoise shell cat we adopted years ago from the Humane Society.

Heather is seven and the shyest of our cats.  We adopted her from a friend when they moved and couldn’t bring her with them.  She has gorgeous shiny, black fur.

Scout is our baby and the only boy in the house.  He’s about four and we adopted him from the Humane Society as well.  He’s definitely the trouble maker of the family.

None of our cats has ever been dressed up as anything before so I wasn’t exactly sure how they’d take to it.  Heather and Colors wanted to be pumpkins this year.  They felt the orange color of the pumpkin would really compliment their beautiful fur.  Scout wanted nothing to do with a pumpkin.  He felt a boy cat should be something more distinguished like a vampire.

While I was checking out the cute costumes at Walmart, I decided the cats needed a Halloween treat. Of course, you can’t buy cats Halloween candy but I did notice that Sheba cat food had a buy 6 get 1 free coupon on their website and decided a premium cat food treat would be something they’d enjoy. It’s important to me that we feed our cats a premium diet so they stay healthy and active.   After they all dressed up in their Halloween costumes, it was time to enjoy their Sheba Cat Food.  They all loved it and Scout and Heather even shared!

  16. LOL – that pumpkin cat outfit is the BEST! Love it.

I’m excited I found this post for 2 reasons 1 I just got a kitten on Sunday..  I’m still in my kitten bragging stage so I MUST post a link to a photo of her https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=633447726698729&set=a.424132777630226.93796.414311671945670&type=1
And 2 I just got the 24 pack of Sheba food at walmart I had a 2 off coupon so it was a great deal!
I hope my new little kitten loves Sheba food as much as your kitties do :)

  21. Your cats are absolutely too cute! How fun that they get to celebrate Halloween, too, in their own feline way. :)

  22. Oh my goodness, I just about fell over, I LOVE, love , love your kitties and those costumes were awesome… Thank you

  23. You have beautiful cats. I can’t believe they let you dress them in costumes. I hope they enjoyed their treat from Sheba!

  24. I have never really been a cat person but your kitties are so cute, and their little costumes…I die!

  25. Okay–how did you get you cats to keep those cute costumes on–much less get them into the costumes to begin with! My cat either would have nipped me scratched me AND torn the costume to shreds!! Sheba is her favorite food!

  26. Your cats are beautiful, Ellen! My cats sometimes dress for Halloween too.  They’ve been cows, cowboys and another animal. We seem to be going with a farm theme.

  27. They are so adorable! GORGEOUS images!

  28. That’s adorable!!  I wonder if I could get my dog to wear that costume!! ha/ha  Great post Ellen!

  29. Becky Willis (@mrsgregwillis) says:

I’m not much of a cat person, but ohmygosh the cute! And I am sure they love their costumes and treats.

  30. Their outfits are a adorable.  I think my cat would probably do an alligator roll if I tried to put one on her.

  31. As cute as they are, mine would NEVER let that happen LOL. I’m be a scratched up mess before I even grabbed the camera! Yours didn’t seem to mind!!

  32. I love the costume, your cat looks adorable.  I’ve always loved cats and I know how important it is to give them a diet that contains the ingredients that they need to grow and thrive.  We only have a dog now but I would totally get a cat if my son wasn’t allergic.

  33. scout looks decidedly UNhappy about his costume! Very cute!

  34. Those are such cute kitties! Glad they loved their Sheba cat food #client

  35. i have three cats and i don’t think any of the three would let me put a costume on them, lol
