This Avocado Oil For Skin Care post is brought to you by One2One Network and Avocados from Mexico. All opinions stated are my own.
Normally, when I hear the word avocado, I think about guacamole and a big slice of avocado on my sandwich for lunch. While those are definitely great ways to enjoy avocado, there are other uses as well. Using avocado oil for skin care is another one of my favorite ways to use avocado. Avocados have a high concentration of vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants. One of the vitamins that you will find in avocados is Vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant and is helpful in slowing the signs of aging. The oils in the avocado also act as a moisturizer and leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. Avocados also help your skin produce more collagen and reduce the number of age spots.
Avocado Oil For Skin Care
So you can see why I love using avocado oil for skin care. Now, you don’t need to run to the store and buy a bottle of avocado oil or spend tons of money on beauty products that have avocado oil in them. It is very easy to make your own beauty products that use avocado oil. The next time you buy an avocado, split it in half. Use half in whatever your favorite recipe is and save the other to make this skin care treatment.
Avocado & Yogurt Face Mask
- 1/2 a ripe Avocado from Mexico
- 1 tbsp plain, organic yogurt
Scoop the pulp out of a very ripe Avocado from Mexico. The darker the avocado is, the more ripe it is and the easier to scoop the pulp out. Mix the avocado pulp and the organic yogurt together into a smooth paste. It may be easier to do this in a blender or a food processor to make sure that there are no lumps.
Wash your face with your normal cleanser and pat dry. Apply the Avocado & Yogurt Face Mask to your face gently using a circular motion. Cover your entire face but do not put it around your eyes. Leave the mask on for ten minutes until it sets. Then using lukewarm water, was the mask off gently.
