School will be starting up again before you know it and that means back to school shopping. With a daughter in college and a son in high school, we go through a lot of school supplies in this house. Like our other purchases, I try to make eco-friendly purchases. The purchase of binders has always bothered me because of the materials most are made of. My kids are super hard on their binders so re-using them year after year just isn’t an option. That has left me having to purchase new binders each year.
Thankfully, Naked Binder understands my concerns about purchasing traditional binders and they offer a great alternative! Naked Binder makes high quality recycled and recyclable office and school supplies including binders. Their business is located in Iowa and all of their products are made there as well. I love that I can purchase binders that are made in the USA. All of their binders are made out of FSC certified, 100% post-consumer waste binders board, 100% cotton cloth, a few FSC certified papers and metal rings. There are absolutely no plastics, vinyls or toxins. Their 3-ring binders are designed to last 10 years, and tested to last 34 years. I can tell you that the binders I got last year from them are still being used with no problems or damage at all this year.
There are a variety of binder styles and colors to choose from including a project binder, classic binder and naked binder. There are also pouch folders and two pocket folders. Each is made out of a binder board that is a neutral color with the option of having colors on the end. I like this feature because it makes it fun for the kids to scribble on decorate them. The colors on the edges of the binder make it easy for the kids to remember which binder is for which subject. Naked Binders are available in a variety of different ring sizes and the spines can either be square or round. No matter what your preference, you’ll find a binder that works for you and you’ll be good to the environment at the same time!
