When I was a little girl, my mom used to watch Julia Child on television. Julia Child is my very first memory of a cooking program on television. You learn much about her life but you also learn fun things too like she wore a size 12 shoe and how she ends each show. Plus, there are all sorts of French vocabulary words which makes this a fun book to use in homeschooling or if you want to introduce your child to another language.

Watching Julia Child on television was always a learning experience! Like learning garlic wasn’t a mass produced powdered item. She inspired me to learn to cook and, later, go to culinary school.
