During the summer, things get a little bit hectic around here. Not only am I juggling job, kids, house and husband, I have to add in yard work and gardening to the equation. That doesn’t leave me with a whole lot of spare time to get fancy in the kitchen. I’m a huge fan of meals that are not only quick and easy to prepare but also don’t require me heating up the oven. When it’s 90 outside, do I really want to add extra heat to the kitchen? Nope! Because Marty is from Texas, we eat a lot of Mexican food. My kids eat salsa with everything! While we have eaten Wholly Guacamole products for years and love the snack size Wholly Guacamole, I had no idea that they now offered Wholly Salsa too!
Wholly Salsa products are made with all natural ingredients and they are preservative and additive free, fat free and gluten free! Wholly Salsa comes in a bunch of yummy flavors – Classic Mild, Classic Medium, Classic Hot!, Avacado Verde, Guacamole & Spicy Pico, Roasted Tomato, Red Pepper Mango and Pineapple! How yummy is that? There are just so many things you can do with salsa. We love to dip tortilla chips in it for snacks. We add it to tacos and tortillas. We have it on nachos. If you’re looking for something different, heat up the grill and throw on some veggies and chicken and then top with Wholly Salsa for an easy dinner that’s quick to prepare. Just wrap it in a tortilla and you’re good to go.
Of course, if you want to create a five star meal, the Eat Wholly website has a ton of different recipes that were created by chefs that will really impress you. You can pair the salsa with shrimp or grilled fish for a gourmet meal that will impress your family and friends. Don’t forget to add on the Wholly Guacamole products too! We made some tacos de harina con carne y salsa for dinner and used the classic medium salsa and some Wholly guacamole as toppings and WOW was it good!
I’m really loving the Wholly Salsa. It’s nice and thick and you can see the onions and tomatoes in it. I love salsa that actually looks like the salsa I make when I have time. I will warn you, I may love Mexican food but I don’t do spicy Mexican food. I thought the medium was pretty spicy so if you aren’t into really hot food, try the mild first.
