Imagine this for a minute… you get invited to a special night out with friends. You check out that little black dress in the closet to make sure it will work for that night and guess what? it’s too tight. You must have gained a few pounds and not noticed since you wore it last time. I know that’s happened to me in the past and chances are it’s happened to you too. Sometimes it’s easy to put on a few pounds when you aren’t paying attention. All it takes is an extra nibble here and there and before you know it, you’ve gained weight.
The Slim & Beautiful Diet is a doctor developed, clinically tested diet that lowers your daily calorie intake while burning more calories with physical activity. The Slim & Beautiful Diet includes high protein shakes, bars, snacks, and cakes that will help keep you full and satisfied while loosing weight. The 7-piece sampler kit includes two protein bars (chocolate peanut butter and yogurt almond), 2 protein shakes (chocolate and vanilla) and three bags of Crispy Lace Non-Naughty Nibbles (cheddar, barbeque and salted).
The shakes are high in milk protein and have three grams of fiber to help keep you full. They also support strong bones and have less than two grams of total fat. They are both gluten and trans fat free. the protein bars contain 20 grams of milk protein and 300 miligrams of calcium to help support strong bones. They are gluten and trans fat free and have a low-glycemic index compared to glucose sugar to avoid causing rapid blood sugar spikes which is ideal for my husband who is diabetic. The Crispy Lace Naught Nibbles are baked snacks that have only 100 calories and 7 grams of protein per serving compared to only 2 grams in a serving of potato chips. They are individually packed so they’re great to toss in your bag when you have errands to run.
The recommended way to use the Slim & Beautiful Diet would be:
Breakfast – a protein shake with a piece of fruit
Snack – a salty Crispy Lace Non-Naughty Nibbles snack
Lunch – a chocolate protein bar and a Crunchy Non-Naughty Nibbles snack
Snack – a piece of fruit
Dinner – a hot entree with two steamed vegetables
Snack – a bowl of frozen fruit medley
Fluids – as much calorie free fluids as desired
Walking – walk 30 to 45 minutes, six times per week
For one day, you will need 2 bars or 2 shakes, 5 fruits/veggies, 1 entree and 2 snacks. The 7 piece sampler kit has enough in it for about two days which is enough time for you to decide whether or not you enjoy the products. The Crispy Lace Non-Naught Nibbles snacks were definitely nice and crispy and would work well when I am having crispy cravings. I wasn’t fond of the barbecue flavor but barbecue chips aren’t generally something I eat. I gave them to my son who pronounced them *not bad* and finished off the rest of the bag. I prepared the shakes with skim milk & then refrigerated them overnight to make them as cold as possible and did enjoy them. I think along with a piece of fruit, it would make a good breakfast especially on the go. My husband enjoyed the taste of the chocolate peanut butter bar but I honestly liked the yogurt and almond allure the best. I’m not a huge fan of chocolate for breakfast.
