Now that the kids are starting to get a bit older and are past the spilling juice on the rug stage (at least I hope they are), we’ve started to look into replacing some of our rugs and furniture. When the kids were younger, we were constantly in fear that someone would spill something on it, decorate it with markers or otherwise destroy our home furnishings. Now that I have two teenagers, hopefully we are past that stage.
The first thing that we needed to do was replace our rug. When we did, I wanted to make sure that we purchased something that would stand up to the wear a busy family and three cats would give it. I didn’t want to get something that looked like it belonged in a doctor’s office though. I wanted something that had some style along with some durability.
I took a look at the rugs from Mohawk Home. Their rugs can be found at retailers like Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, and Bed Bath & Beyond. They produce high quality rugs, while minimizing their impact on the world around us. As part of the largest flooring manufacturer in the world, they control quality from raw materials to the finished product. Through sustainable manufacturing and the dedication they ensure that the Mohawk product always delivers the best value at the best price.
I received a 60in x 96in are rug from Mohawk Home which is the perfect size for our living room. The rug I chose is 100% olefin which is a synthetic fiber that is known for its strength, colorfastness and comfort, stain, mildew, abrasion and sunlight resistance. That’s exactly what we need in my high traffic living room. We chose a beautiful deep burgundy color that will match the furniture we hope to be able to get in the near future.
I was so impressed with the deep pile of this rug. It’s so comfortable and soft to walk on and the kitties are absolutely in love with it. It’s stood up very well to wear and is easy to take care of. I was really surprised at how nice the quality was considering how affordable the rug was. They had a great selection of colors, piles and sizes to choose from so it was easy to find exactly what I wanted.
One of my lucky readers is going to win any Mohawk Home rug up to size 5×8 and under $150 valued on site. You can go here to choose: http://www.mohawkhome.com/retailers.aspx
